Step 1. Visit NBCOT online to complete exam registration.
Step 2. Complete and submit Licensure Application for Occupational Therapists or Licensure Application for Occupational Therapy Assistants and fees to PCS. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to process your application once PCS has received all documentation.

Step 3. PCS receives information from NBCOT regarding applicant's status.
Step 4. PCS reviews application for completeness.
If incomplete, PCS will notify candidate in writing.
If complete, PCS will mail a license letter.
Step 5. PCS mails license letter to approved applicant.
Step 6. PCS sends license information to MA Board.
Step 7. MA Board posts license number on website within 1 week when scores are mailed.
Step 8. MA Board mails wallet-sized license to applicant within 6 weeks after scores are mailed.
