Principles and Practice of Engineering -- PE
- Applicants seeking licensure by examination should review the qualifications below before applying. Applications are available for those who wish to begin the licensure process by examination.
- One of the qualifications to take the PE is that you must have passed the FE, unless you graduated with an engineering degree (NOT engineering technology) prior to January 1, 1968. Please refer to the Law and Examination Qualifications for additional information.

Principles and Practice of Surveying -- PS
If you are already licensed to practice land surveying in another state, please visit the Pennsylvania Board web site and click on General Board Information. A copy of the registration law and professional and vocational standards are available upon request.
A candidate must be eligible for the FS and/or PS examination in order to take the State Surveying Exam. A candidate may also qualify based on reciprocity. Reciprocity applications (47-SUR200) must be submitted to the Pennsylvania Board office by same deadline dates. Please visit the Pennsylvania Board web site and click on General Board Information.
