Transition Schedule from Ergometrics to Professional Credential Services, Inc.:
11/30/16 – Ergometrics will stop accepting on-line and paper applications. Please do not send applications to Ergometrics after that date. New on-line applications are being developed by PCS and will be available for candidates on January 2, 2017, when PCS’ contract goes into effect.
NOTE: There will be a short “black-out” period in order to ensure a smooth transition. Please be patient and bear with us while we are working diligently to put all appropriate programs into place.
12/30/16 – Ergometrics will STOP scheduling approved candidates to test. PLEASE BE CERTAIN YOU SCHEDULE YOUR TEST WITH ERGOMETRICS AND TEST ON OR BEFORE 12/30/16. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL FORFEIT ANY MONIES PAID TO ERGOMETRICS AND BE REQUIRED TO PAY PCS UPON MAKING APPLICATION WITH THEM BEGINNING IN JANUARY.
12/9/16 – PCS will publish Candidate Handbooks on their website at www.pcshq.com. Handbooks will contain information on how to make application with PCS, fees, examination schedules, eligibility requirements, examination content outlines for both NIC theory and practical examinations. Please read thoroughly.
12/30/16 – Ergometrics will end all testing in the Commonwealth of VA.
1/2/17 – Candidates may begin applying on-line with PCS.
1/2/17 – Approved Candidates who have received an Authorization to Test for their theory examination may begin to schedule to take their examination with Prometric. Detailed information relating to this process will be provided in the Candidate Handbook.
1/9/17 - This is the last day that candidates will have access to their accounts online with NTN. The portal will close at midnight.
1/30/17 – An NIC School Overview will be conducted for both private and vocational schools. Location in Richmond and time TBD. Schools will receive a Memorandum with detailed information at the appropriate time.
1/31-2/1/17 – PCS and NIC will conduct its first Examiner Training in order to conduct its first practical examination administrations on 2/6/17. The examination schedule for 2017 (cities and dates) will be maintained on PCS’ website and in the Candidate Handbook.
2/6/17 – PCS administers first practical examination.
