THE PROCESS
1. Submit completed application and fees to PCS.
2. PCS reviews application for completeness.
If incomplete, PCS notifies applicant.
If complete, PCS mails examination material.
3. PCS mails examination material to applicant.
For practical exams, admission materials should arrive approximately 10 days before exam date.
For theory exams, Authorization to Test Letter should arrive within 7 days.
4. Applicant takes examination.
If applicant has not received materials within stated time frame, contact PCS at 1-888-822-3272.
5. Score results are given to examinee.
Practical scores are mailed within 5 days of exam.
Theory scores (unofficial) are issued at the testing center. PCS will mail official score within 5 days of exam.
6. Passing Candidates: When you have passed all required examinations, PCS will notify the Board electronically and mail your original file to the Board office. **The State Board will have the final authority to approve the issuance of a license. ** We appreciate your patience as your license will be processed and issued as quickly as possible. The candidate is responsible for notifying PCS and the Board of any mailing address changes.
7. Examinees who fail must receive their official score notice from PCS before reapplying and resubmitting fees to PCS. Call PCS at 1-888-822-3272 to reschedule.
