- Reinstatement: If you wish to reinstate a lapsed Delaware license by examination - Click Here
! Temporary Permits: In order for the Delaware State Board Office to issue a temporary permit, you must submit the Supervisor Form to PCS.
2. Submit the following eligibility documents to Professional Credential Services.
- Official High School Transcript - Must be an official English-language transcript sent directly from the high school. Please see Candidate Information Bulletin for further information.*
- Official Cosmetology School Transcript - Must be an official professional school transcript which includes the school name, school instructor name and license number, and the school official's signature. Please see Candidate Information Bulletin for further information.*
* If the name on any of the above information differs from the name on your application, legal proof of name change such as a marriage certificate, divorce decree, and/or petition for name change must be submitted to PCS.
! All required documents must be received and approved by PCS on or before the deadline date of your requested practical examinatin date.
3. Theory Examination: An Authorization To Test (ATT) Letter will be e-mailed within 2 business days of application approval.
4. Practical Examination: A Notification e-mail will be sent 10 business days prior to your approved examination date including the confirmed date, time, and location.
5. Score Information
- Theory Examination: An unofficial score report will be distrubuted on-site. An official score report will be mailed by PCS within 10 business days of the examination date.
- Practical Examination: An official score report will be mailed by PCS within 10 business days after the examination date.
6. License Information: Delaware Board of Cosmetology issues license to candidates who pass all required examinations.
